I don’t think that’s true. In order to compete and win you need to be competitive, at least against yourself. I am not an aggressive person, at all. I feel badly for my opponents when I am beating them, and wish I could make them feel better afterwards. I was an average swimmer in high school and a national level rower in high school and college. I was driven by the desire to win, but crew worked better for me than swimming because I was motivated to work harder for my team.
Dance sounds great, OP. How about climbing or swimming?
