Two things wrong with this.

1. This is rather the point of MLS Next - the idea behind DA and MLS Next is that it is a pathway for the best kids to work they way up to the MLS team.

2. Arlington in particular, unlike other area clubs, tends to keep many of its best players. Less than half of the players offered spots at DC United this year moved - and at least one kid moved the other way.

I doubt that SYC will now want it since they have been awarded the MLS on the boys side. I could see them trying to do that for the girls though, not the boys.

1) no bridges have been burned. If I were an ECNL director I’d want a club that consistent delivers.
2) that LS has any day is comical at best. Especially when they are receiving humiliating scores and providing a subpar delivery.

Additionally, if you compare and contrast the above clubs the former basically annihilates the latter in any tangible criteria.

No insight. At some point this year, Arlington will make a determination about which league it wants to be in. And if it decides MLS Next is preferable, it presumably would need to apply and be accepted.

I am pretty sure Arlington has not started any formal review process yet.

There have been rumors in several threads about Arlington moving their Academy teams to MLS Next next season. Does anyone have any insight here?
