I don't know anything about the Bethesda Beat or its comments section, but I can tell you from my experience here at DCUM that right-wingers are extremely active online. They come to DCUM from all over the US and they are far more active than our usual users. I see them routinely post 80 or more times in a single day. I used to think that they were younger people but have come to believe that they are mostly older folks. They are probably retired and spend their entire day posting online. I think it is their hobby. Also, I've found that a surprising number of them are women and that women are some of the most fanatic Trump supporters.

For a county that voted 80% for Biden, and overwhelmingly rejected Robin Ficker's ballot question among other things, why are all the comments to Bethesda Beat articles chock full with Trumpers?
