It would never have occurred to me not to until I found this website years ago. This topic has been frequently discussed. I will never make homemade anything for anybody. That's my time, my most precious commodity, that I use in cooking. Not taking a chance on wasting it.

Sadly, my neighbors have never cooked me anything. Wait no, I have eaten food cooked by neighbors at their houses and at block parties. I’ve never had a neighbor show up with a plate of brownies at my house or anything. I’d eat them.
