hard to do so in 11 x 11 if the league specifies three refs, or if you intend ot have any subs.

I _think_ this would fall under one of the following exceptions to the mask rule (listed earlier in the document linked in an earlier post):

vi. while swimming or engaging in other physical activities where the use of a Face
Covering is likely to pose a bona fide safety risk
;
vii. for individuals under the age of eighteen (18) who are engaged in sports – as
recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics;

They've already exempted the players from wearing masks while playing. This new order is limiting gathering size, so not sure how that will affect the number of players they can bring to a game.

Limiting the numbers to 25 prevents soccer games.....

No it specifically states games can continue with one spectator per child participant. So games can continue but may need to be modified.

How do you play 11 v 11 soccer games under the 25 person per event limit?

Who knows? 11 players per team, one coach per team and one ref? Apparently they can go over the 25 per person limit to allow one spectator for each child.

This is dumb. The original proposal on monday said 50 people + 1 guest per kid. Then it changed to 25 people + 1 guest per kid.

I dont see how you can play a game like that?

We are ulittle at 7v7 and our opponents often have 13 kids on their side- without coaches or ref.

Here is the listing for those who do not want to click. Thank goodness all of our games were scheduled outside of moco anyway and futsal will only be 4v4 plus a goalie.

l. Sports.
i. All sports are categorized by level of risk as detailed in the Maryland Sports
Commission Return to Play Report with the following exceptions:
(1) solo kayaking/canoeing is considered to be low risk;

Looks like gatherings will be reduced to groups of 25. For youth sports, it says the 25 includes players and coaches, and that there is allowed to be one spectator per athlete. I'm guessing it means that teams won't be able to bring all their players to a game (If they have a roster of more than 11?) I guess no subs?
