Also, city driving reduces lifespan of tires considerably. I do 90% city driving (or least used to pre-covid) and got 20k out of mine, non-low profile tires that is.

Based on OP's complaint, some sort of Michelin touring all season tires would work really well: quiet, comfortable, long wearing.

Talk with the folks at Radial Tire in Silver Spring. They know their stuff and will walk through your options along with the pros and cons of each. I've been getting my tires there for 20+ years.

Does your car take low profile tires? If so, 35k miles is pretty good.

I’ve never been disappointed with General. Owned many sets of General tire on a variety of different cars (pick up, corvette, Lexus, 5-series) and Ive been happy with all of them.

On the other side of that, Continental seems to make garbage. The BMW and Lexus both had ContiTouring Contact tires as OEM tires, and both sets lasted less than 25k, needed constant balancing every 5-7k miles, and wore unevenly even with perfect alignment.

have you though about going to a car centric or even audi centric forum. and get advice from what others are putting on that specific model.

are you looking for sport, or looking for a 90K mile tire. looking or a low rolling resistance fuel efficient tire?

what works on my for and subaru, whle maybe the same size tire might act completely different on your car...

soft rubber tires. what car and what size? hard rubber tires will last longer but makes noise/hard ride.

I've been unhappy with the OEM tires on my Audi (far more problems than any other car or set of tires), and now need to replace them after only 35k miles. So I want something different. Any thoughts on tire places or sources for advice on what type/brand would be more reliable?
