PP here--and I'm also a black mother, but not of boys--I don't think we see the full context, so I can't say he overreacted. Luckily his friends were videotaping and he wasn't triggered, so it worked out.
You never engage nut jobs like that. Get in the car and ignore our call the police. Why were all those kids together one unmasked.
