I can confirm an outside player made a Futsal ID team in Alexandria on my kids roster this past year. She intends to play again this year and will make the team once again. I dont follow the other ages close enough to know about each age group beyond my kids
Given your location you might consider Alexandria Futsal as well. Well established and very close to where you are.
NP here. Definitely consider it because it is a good program, but it is fairly competitive. Not all of the kids who try out get a spot, because they field fewer futsal teams than travel soccer teams, and the futsal teams are smaller. My child got a spot on travel futsal, but not on as high a level of team as travel soccer. I'm not aware of any players outside Alexandria who made travel futsal in my child's year, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen in other years.
ASA futsal try outs are not over, so how could your child have gotten an offer yet?????

1. A good indoor activity for my child doing something that he loves.
2. Improved ball control.
3. Improved shooting/passing power.

Anonymous wrote:How is this program? We went to the tryouts, but it felt a little disorganized. My child was the youngest in her group, and the tryouts were co-ed. Is that typical? She did ok, but I think she would have done much better in a group with only girls her age.
LOL "tryouts"
Your kid will be placed on an appropriate team and all will be fine.
Thanks, but I was also asking if the program was good for developing players. Sorry if I was unclear.

I don't know about the tryouts, but if you can get your girl to play with boys, it'll be much better for her in the long run.
