If she passed the test she is not an ELL student.


So then how is it enough to identify as EL for the initial poster I quoted without the test? "My son is identified as EL because we speak Spanish and English at home"

I will happily accept a spot if offered. And I believe the science is on the side of reopening elementary schools, especially in communities with as low case numbers as DC.

My son is also ELL because he tested badly (DL tests are BS). I don't care - I find it funny people get concerned about tests run through DL with little kids.

I have told the school I won't accept the placement but curious to see if the call is from the school or DCPS.

This plan screws 90% of the kids who have some sense of stability with their current set up. But hey - then Kinders can test moderately better on reading. So its worth it (sarcasm).

It should be in an email today for in person with a teacher and CARES placement Will be done next week.
