I don't get how we can look at women in lingerie every day but consider a somewhat undressed man to be the height of offense.

I don't like to see women objectified. And I don't want to see that man with a sling around his parts either.

Your more conservative friend wanted to do what -- try to get the teacher in trouble for an accident? Perform some pearl-clutching? That stupid ad is everywhere right now.

Teacher handled it well. What do you want a - groveling email to the class about a 2 second mistake. These things happen

You experienced exactly what the teacher did -- the ad appeared while you were reading or looking at something else.

What would you hope to accomplish by saying anything? The teacher clearly knows not to show that stuff, which is why he quickly navigated away, so it's not like he needs to be told. It wasn't intentional, so there's no need to rat him out for an accident.

You sound perfectly comfortable showing your kid photos like this, and it was clearly an accident on the part of the teacher, so no- I wouldn’t say anything.

You happened upon the photo in an ad. Why do you assume they situation was any different for the teacher? What would you even report? It's not like the teacher was intentionally showing it to his students.

It's really hard to live stream a video (the alleged movie trailer) onto another virtual/live platform (Zoom) .

My kid's teacher does it fairly often in Teams.

Sounds like teacher handled it well. And modeled good digital citizenship - see something weird and uncomfortable, then get out.

Are you the same poster who was complaining in VA School Forum about a teacher playing a taylor swift video in class?

+1 Reporting an accident like this will only make you look like a jerk.

Yesterday, my son's science teacher was telling the kids about a movie and decided while on zoom to navigate to Amazon to show them a trailer. It was a cartoon-type movie; I don't recall the title. Well, during his surfing he came upon a photo of "a naked man leaning over a desk with a mask on his penis" in front of approximately 25 4th graders. Apparently the teacher said nothing but navigated quickly away from the page. My son and some other boys definitely saw the photo and asked about it, but the teacher just said something along the lines of "oh, let's just get out of here!"

My son told me about it, as he should have, because it seemed inappropriate to him.

While on Washington Post's website later I saw an advertisement for a Borat film ... with him naked, with a mask over his bits. I asked my son if that's what he saw and he said, "yes - same guy, but different photo"

Would you do or say anything?
