She didn't even finish an associate's degree in interior design at community college, let alone go to design school. The lack of exposure to real design training shows. You don't know what you don't know.

It has too much white for me. And it's too expensive. A small room in the basement with a new projector, new couch and wall molding costed $30K. I guess that was the price you had to pay for a famous designer.

I thought her personally house would be nice, but for the size it appears cramped.

Also, there are lots of closeted gay men in that world and might her husband be one of them?

My first thought was the husband is gay.

She’s a one trick pony, much better than Joanna Gaines but nothing special. I watched because I love big McMansions.

I thought the same exact thing. Can’t tell the difference between any of the houses. maybe just not my style.

I binge watched the series while I was doing laundry, cleaning, etc.. so didn't pay complete attention to it but in general I found them likeable and I liked the work. she did a big room in one house that was spot on what they needed and it looked good- dining, lounging, working space all in a big room. I like the uncluttered look that they design- it makes the rooms look spacious and calm.

I wanted to like it because I am always happy to root for people who build their own business. Unfortunately, I thought their stuff was all pretty basic. Definitely seemed better than the Magnolia stuff. But not amazing or particularly inspiring from a design perspective.

I tried to like it and I was into their new house fireplace but I didn’t make it through the first episode. I think it’s gross that their kids are on the show. Kids shouldn’t be on reality shows! It’s so bad. What kind of parents would do that? Ugh.

It’s boring, but it’s aspirational for the basic, white girls that shop the Magnolia and McGee collections at Target.

It’s very underwhelming but there is no better proof there is a huge market for blah than DC.

It does but I’m still impressed. Lol! She has a formula that has worked for her. The sucky part for me is that her “style” is starting to be overdone by the masses.
I was surprised that the people on the show had to bring in the money. To me a Dream Home Makeover is one that I don’t have to finance. 🤣
