Similar for us. I think around 9 my oldest started showering independently, so that was definitely the end of the shared tub. Maybe a year or so earlier they did baths on their own most of the time? It felt like it came to a natural conclusion on it's own. My youngest is 8 now and there's no way she'd want to share a tub with her older brother at this point. Frankly, they wouldn't even fit in it together!

By the time my oldest (DS) was 8 he wanted to bathe without his little sister (age 5). Both still casually walk around with no clothes on at ages 9 and 6.

We started when the baby could sit up- so roughly 5/6 months old. They still love bathing together at 4 and 24 months old now.

Mine stopped at 9 and 7.

I would probably not start with that combination. 5 is about able to be independent. My kids shared the tub till about 4 and 6. We just ran out of room.

My older girl and younger boy started bathing together when he was probably 7-8 months and she was about 4. Now they are just over 7 and just over 4, and sometimes they request separate baths and sometimes together. I'm just thankful they still enjoy each other's company after all this time together.

6.5yo boy/ 4yo girl. They have been showering together since the younger one could sit in the tub, age 5 months or so. They were doing bubble baths over the summer with an older girl cousin too (8.5) No one is uncomfortable yet, and there's no need to force that feeling on them.

I was a Nanny for a girl and boy. The parents had a huge shower with 2 showerheads. In the summer after swimming I would shower in their shower and they would shower together in the parents shower. They started when they were 3 and 5. I told them every summer we would change it when one of them wanted to. Well the summer the girl was 9 and boy was 7 she said she wanted to shower by herself. So we switched it up and all showered separately.
So I guess for them at 8 and 6 it was ok. At 9 and 7 they were not doing it anymore.

4 years old and maybe they shared a couple at 5 years due to limited facilities or time. They got too big and active to share at 5 but the gender factor would not have been an issue *for them* for years after. Some kids are more sensitive/shy/shocked/giggly/uncomfortable with physical differences but mine have not even gotten there yet at 9.

Those of you with both a boy and a girl, when did you have them stop taking baths together? DD is currently 7 and a half, DS just turned 6.
