Because it doesn’t work. Are you talking about the process where they spin the sperm to separate it? It’s hogwash. Not real. The only way to sex select is to do IVF and then do PGS on the embryos.

What?? You are very confused. You can’t do gender selection for IUI and never have been able to (PC statement about the weight of the speed aside, that’s only theoretical and not something that is done in practice). It’s literally not possible at this time.

If you are talking about IVF, then yes you can do that and I think most area clinics will allow it. Specifically, I know SGF and GW allow it, although the may discourage you if your best blast is not the desired sex.

The sperm is what determines the sex. Maybe you are thinking of IVF where they fertilize the eggs then test for gender?

The answer I heard (I think in a post here) is that the only way to test sperm is by weight. Male sperm are lighter and rise to the top when they separate them. Females are lighter and so stay at the bottom...which is also where dead or low quality sperm go. Statistically there are more boys born via IUI for this reason and your success rate would go down if you selected the female sperm because it’s mixed with lower quality. No idea how true, just what I recently read.
