DC gets far far FAR less money from the Feds than any other state.

Don’t believe the thinktank estimates which include federal salaries.

Our schools are vastly underfunded because we pay $20 billion plus in fed taxes and get back only around $5 billion.

If DC was a state our schools would be way better because we’d get our fair share from the feds.

I am dying for someone to beat Eleanor, but he isn't it. I don't think statehood would be a disaster, but I also don't think it will ever happen.

Im from DC (born here) and think statehood would be a disaster. We get so much $ from the Feds, and I generally agree when they intervene on things like vouchers. So you have piqued my interest in this guy.

Want to know the truth? Many of the democrats that claim they support DC Statehood don't. Krucoff organized Douglass County the only logical alternative to statehood.

I met Eleanor Holmes Norton at an ANC meeting. She's quite sharp and I happily voted for her again this election.

He liked a post by a Trump-allied Republican candidate. Whose title was basically "vote for the Trump-allied Republican". He's part of a program at AEI. What else do you want?


It's well-known that political advantage can be gained by pretending to be an independent. But now there is other evidence.

85% of DC citizens support statehood. He's running uphill. Way uphill. But let's be clear about what he believes.

I think there are probably other good candidates in the DC House Delegate race. (Barbara Washington Franklin seems solid for example).

But as long as Eleanor Holmes Norton is running against what could be an astroturfed republican plant who aims to hinder DC statehood, I encourage people to vote for Eleanor Holmes Norton. We can't afford to split the vote.

AEI is a Republican thinktank, funded by Charles Koch and his donor network and notably recently employing Paul Ryan and John Bolton and Marc Thiessen (the Bush speechwriter who now writes pro-Trump columns for the Washington Post). AEI (along with Cato) are centers of Republican elite organization.

Indeed, Krucoff supports the same solution national Republicans support: making DC a part of Maryland. This solution is opposed by both DC AND Maryland. The only organized support this solution has is from Republican elites.
