I’m not the OP but I have a friend who thinks this way. She wanted a certain kind of guy, had a long list of wants, couldn’t attract or keep that sort of guy, but also viewed compromising on some of her wishlist as “settling”. She’s 40 now and not yet married. She decided she would rather remain single than settle.

Well just do like OP in the other thread'd GF did give up all your interests, and your friends and devoe yourself fully to the guy. You'll have a ring in 1 year.

I found it easy in my 20s. Women in DC are t very attractive. It’s not like NYC or Cali.

If you are a solid 8 with a good degree and job, you can have anyone you want. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Marry an older divorcee. Having children is WAY overrated.

You likely have an inflated view of your worthiness. Try to attract a guy based on his character and kindness. Lots of guys like that here. Just not all tall Chads.

What makes them "low quality?" Where are you meeting these people? You need to find people you enjoy being around - you're going to be around this person for a really long time. Character flaws are non-negotiable, but everything else is.

I don’t think it’s very promising when you refer to people as “top quality.”

It is so tough being a young woman of child bearing age. The competition is so fierce, especially in a place like the DMV where most women are MC/UMC, well to do, well educated, fit and beautiful. The tall dark and handsome guy with good morals, family minded and a good career aren’t enough to pair up with every available woman.

The “top quality” guys I want have never demonstrated interest in me. Do I just settle as I’m not attracted to the low quality guys who always express interest in me.
