I know plenty of public school teachers that send their kids to private schools in normal times. Why are you thinking this means anything? Sure, it looks bad but the superintendent is not forced to send his children to public school.

Yeah, me too. But let's remember exactly what he specifically does for a living, in order to get this "burn money". He gets paid, by taxpayers, to provide a quality public education for all. And he's taking that money and going to private school. Because he's not able to do his job. That's why this is so maddening.


Why is that maddening? If ACPS doesn't have money to fix up buildings to make it safe for kids to return, or hire more teachers, or find an equitable way to get kids back in the buildings, what is he personally supposed to do? He's a superintendent, not a magician.

It’s really not. Kids switch schools all the time. Yes, special needs where she can’t learn in DL and needs hybrid right now could be a factor. His other kid is still public. Y’all are being petty and reaching.

Im sure it was more personal issues because he has his elementary age boy in ACPS still doing virtual learning. But yeah it doesn't look good unfortunately.

My kid’s Catholic HS is hybrid too. One day a week is not a good reason to spend all of your money. Even two days a week. I send him because the expectations are much higher than public school. My kid will perform to the level of what is expected.

No, of course high school is not going back any time soon. That's the case pretty much everywhere. The question is when elementary/middle may go back. I am betting younger elementary will, but not older or middle any time before January.
