You have a unique barcode on your ballot. If someone were to return an absentee ballot after the same voter (on the ballot) had voted in person, the barcode scanner would kick out the 2nd ballot (the one coming in by mail/drop box).
And no one needs to provide a "screen shot" of anything. We at the elections offices can simply look up your name, find out if you were issued an absentee ballot, and then either re-issue it if it has been some time since it was mailed (and you haven't received it), or cancel it out altogether if you decide to vote in person. In either case, you will only be counted as voting once --- either by the first absentee ballot that you return, or by voting in person before returning an absentee ballot.
