We have one 3 year old DD and I'm pregnant with my second. We were planning on having the nursery in the small bedroom until we feel comfortable putting her in her own room and 3 year old DD upstairs in her own room. I remember my parents having the master suite on the first floor of our house and all the kids bedrooms upstairs and I didn't think they had any problems but the previous thread on this topic gave me pause.
It's a townhouse and they are one floor above so the safety issues don't seem dire but the other thread made me think we are crazy for considering this. Then again, a million people live in townhouses/houses with the master on the first floor. Do we looks elsewhere??
That's your problem. People on these boards will talk like having bedrooms on another floor is child endangerment or something. Lots of people live in THs or multi-level homes where the bedrooms are not all on the same floor. They are fine. I wouldn't want my kids on a floor below me, but above me would be fine.
