It depends on where we are working. If at home, no, because he works in a home office and can close the door. I do trust that he is contributing to class and paying attention in class. When this whole thing started, I made sure to be around just to make sure that he did not take advantage of the newfound freedom. Once he showed self-discipline, this is no longer needed.

If I take him to my office to do DL (which is private- don't jump all over me), I can't help but hear most of it. It's a space thing. My office has an open floor plan and it echoes. I asked him to use headphones sometimes because I can't take work calls if he doesn't, but sometimes that's not practical.

Only band. My kid is remote in a mixed remote/in person setup. She has to be muted during band because zoom has just enough lag to make it unworkable to have her audible in the classroom. She works really hard on her music and really likes having an audience when she plays along with the ensemble. So, three times a week, I sit in for an hour.

5th grader is set up in room next to my office. I can hear it, but I’m not paying attention. I walked by on my way to and from the bathroom or to get a drink, and I check to make sure he’s actually doing the work and not playing a game. And yes, Ive caught him playing a game.
I haven’t heard anything from any other parents. Maybe an occasional calling of their name in the background, or I can hear their little siblings in the background.

No. They are in middle school and high school and would be deeply annoyed if I even tried. I do monitor grades and have to keep on top of one kid to turn in assignments.

No, but my husband is in the same room and monitors things. If not, I'd monitor but not listen in.

I half listen. I am working msyelf and I am within earshot so I do hear some stuff. I don't sit next to him and listen on purpose. Sometimes I'll walk over and check his screen to make sure he's not playing games (caught him before). My kid is in high school.

No. I am at work (healthcare), DH is at home working in his office. Kids are sitting at their desks in their rooms doing class (with headphones on most of the time.)

I have no idea what they are doing in class (kids in 9th and 10th.) I just real time notifications when grades change or they are absent.

I don’t listen to it full time and full ear. The kids are in their rooms. We have the door open so I can hear if there is unusual commotion and check in on the kids then.

Well the reason I am asking is because my DD was watching Youtube this morning there was this lady name "Karen" (grandma) who was pissed off because at the teacher because she was talking about Historic events that happen in their lifetime. (the kids). Someone named Obama and she went on a rant on how he was half white and she also went on a rant on how she hates the BLM, later doing the Video the granddaughter drops the F-BOMB to maybe her Grandma. There was another video of the kids dancing and the teacher yelling at them.
