Until you pull compacted poop out of your kids butt are you even a parent? haha just kidding but seriously - nobody ever told me that this might be a possibility. 4 year old daughter screaming on the toilet that the poop was stuck in her booty butt and it hurt. Super fun times!

This. I've definitely had entire discussions with parents about the usefulness of each pup in the Paw Patrol as compared to how often Ryder says he needs them.

Lots of things I never thought I would say, like “If you put your head near someone’s feet and tickle them, they might kick you in the face.”
I have had to say that exact thing multiple times.

I had no idea what a dictator I'd be! We play and joke nonstop, but then they try to make a mess in the kitchen when I'm cooking -"toys stay in the playroom". Omg I'm like a broken record.

And how hard not taking sides is between them.

Seriously, I never thought I would need stocks in freezer Siized Ziplock bags. I have (had?) visions of all kinds of cute storage ideas, but I’m sorry - like Frank’s Hot Sauce for storage... they store everything and the stuff stays where I need it, unlike boxes and the like. I feel at this point I can deal with the lack of TP in stores, but if Ziplocks become a hot commodity, I’m screwed.

I also swear the kid sized barrettes in the house multiply exponentially and move through the night, because although DD won’t wear them because they “always fall out”, I keep finding ones, putting them away, only to find more. I think I‘veonly bought them a few times, and seem to recognize all the ones I find, so I’m not sure what’s going on.

I set out to make sure DD was a “good eater”, and she’s really not bad, but I’ve pretty much lost all will to exist at all, much less cook, on school nights and I end up making the same few (relatively bland) meals over and over. A picky eater would thrive in our house and I wonder if I’m stagnating her. (And yes, I understand that some kids are just sensitive to different foods... this is meant very tongue in cheek. When I met DH, he ate about 4 things so I totally get it.)

What are the funny little things about parenting that you notice?
