DP. Eh I live in Manhattan and I wouldn't call it common at all at my school. Most kids that age wouldn't be caught dead in a stroller! They can usually walk the distance to school just fine, and if it's longer, people are usually taking the bus or train. I guess if you had a route that wasn't easily covered by bus or train, I suppose it would make sense, but I really don't see a lot of this.
