Op here - i was able to get back to my normal size and flat abs after baby 1 and 2 but baby 3 has been much harder! I am 5’7” and usually around 135.

I really need to diet but I am still breastfeeding so I can’t diet too much unfortunately. I run or peloton 5 times a week.

^ so no, your body will never go back. You have to get used to your new body.

Pre pregnancy, I was 112 lbs (5 ft 4”), flat stomach, tight boobs and tight butt (natural, no surgeries).

After one baby and breastfeeding for a year, and aging, I am lucky to be 120 lbs. flabby stomach, saggy boobs, diastisis recti. SIGH. I love my baby girl and can’t imagine life without her, but it was the largest sacrifice I’ve ever made.

I gained 37 pounds with my first. I lost all but 8 pounds by 5 weeks postpartum and lost the last 8 pounds by 6 months postpartum. And my stomach looks exactly the same as before I gave birth. I was very thin to begin with and gained the weight evenly over all three trimesters (yes I gained 12 pounds in the first trimester...I blame it on puking if I ate anything that wasn't a carb!), so maybe that contributed to the lack of issues that I experienced with loose skin...But I think I'm proof that you can gain nearly 40 pounds healthfully during your pregnancy and lose the weight pretty quickly postpartum and not have any stomach issues.

I in no way mean to brag but stating this to encourage. I gained 45-50 pounds per pregnancy. I’ve have had two pregnancies relatively close. I have a flat stomach and only a little bit of loose skin when I’m sitting down. It was accomplished through exercise. Had my kids in my mid to late 30s. My breastfeeding boobies on the other hand...ugh!! I may need some plastic surgery for those!

I was hoping you'd get different responses, lol! I gained 40 lbs with my first. I'm pregnant now with 4 weeks to go and it's looking like I'll gain35 lbs or so with my 2nd. I had a lot of stretch marks with my 1st but they mostly faded. My stomach got flatter, but I still had some loose skin when I bent over. I remember seeing an old photo of Katie Holmes at the beach with her daughter and she was thin but had similar loose skin. Most celebs seem to have perfect flat stomachs so that photo stuck out to me.

Sorry it won't go back. The women whose stomachs look nice naturally after babies didn't gain much (25-30lbs) during pregnancy or get stretch marks. I don't know about Kate Hudson but a lot of moms I know get tummy tucks for the loose skin.

Jessica Simpson wrote in her book that she had a tummy tuck after her first two pregnancies due to loose/ saggy skin

OP here - well that is disappointing! Do you think all celebrities get a tummy tuck? I am always so amazed at how flat and normal their stomachs look after having multiple babies (ie Kate Hudson who gained 90lbs and Jessica Simpson).

OK, so lose the 15lbs, get in the best shape you can (cardio/weights), and 1 yr after maintaining that, get a tummy tuck or skin removal procedure.

Op here - no I am 15 pounds over my normal weight. I have gained and lost (almost) 180 pounds over 5 years with the 3 pregnancies.

Your post is not clear. You are 180 lbs over your starting weight, or you are 15 lbs overweight?

I typically gain 60lbs when I am pregnant. I have had 3 live pregnancies (and 3 miscarriages) in 5 years. So I have gained 180 lbs off and on over the past 5 years. Thankfully with the first 2 pregnancies I lost the weight. I am not 8 months postpartum and still have 15 pounds to lose. But my stomach just looks gross. There is so much extra skin. Is there anything I can do? Will it ever go back?
