Many top players missing, Many there. However you play with what you have and don’t worry about what you don’t. It was a very STRONG outcome for the DMV period.

Looking at the rosters. Some boys are top players while others are not. You really can't claim the legitimacy of a team if the players are not all the absolute best. Putting kids on the team as a favor to a dad and/or coach makes the whole thing illegitimate for the truly top players.

It cost about the same as any showcase.

No team/event is ever going to be perfect, especially when money is involved. Two of the three DMV teams won the event and the other team went 3-1. Seems like other regions should have more to complain about.

Not the above poster, but don't see this comment as a complaining. Sounds like they actually understood how it work'd re filling out rosters and if they could figure out a few things on the logistics side of things, the talent would be elite across the rosters. And if they can accomplish that, which I think is a worthy goal, then the event would just be epic. If they can't, then that is still ok, but it'll be like many of the others as opposed to truly stand out.

2021 team was about half DCE and half Madlax, with one NL and one other. The team was stacked with a terrific roster. The 2021 competition was very strong, and the games were great. West and Connecticut teams were full of top D1 commits, and they both played very exciting OT games with the DMV team. New York/Long Island did not enter a 2021 team, unfortunately.

But packing the 22 team, where MadLax has some nice players but is a distant second tier as a team, didn’t end so well Some of the stronger players from the DMV area were not on the field for 22.

I think they are all money grabs. But, the kids get to play and they are providing the opportunity. They got screwed on the facility late, so the organizers did a nice job shifting the whole operation.

I'd like to see independent coaches, as looked like the teams were about 70% Madlax teams then they cherry picked the top players from DCE that wanted to play to put the teams over the top.

Overall I thought it was a very solid first year event.

Say what you want about it being run by the a mad Lax founder and a few other club guys however Corrignan Sports enterprises / UA has turned into A money grab

My son played in the event yesterday. I thought the talent was reasonable/good, but a lot of the top kids in DC didn't play. Maybe it was the time of year, they didn't want to deal w Madlax, or chose to spend the money on UA? I am sure the other teams didn't have all their top players either, so it probably washes out. It was good that the DMV won 2 of the 3 divisions, I guess. Good for the area lacrosse rep. Thoughts from those that were there?
