3:3 ties result in a shoot-out.

" Seems like you’d be able to score easier if you could use your hands and then there wouldn’t be so many low scoring games or ties. More people would watch. "

I'd like to see soccer played with three balls at a time, one red, one white and one blue. Goals scored with the red ball count as three points, white as one and blue as two.

Each time a goal is scored, that ball is removed from the game.

The first side to get more than three points wins, no matter how long it takes ... or how short.

Soccer should be a sprint, not a scoreless marathon.

I think OP is talking about MSI which is not allowing throw ins. Yes, not using your hands is still part of their protocols.

Football (soccer to the likes of you) is the world's most popular sport, with 3.5 BILLION fans.

Baseball is in 7th place with 500 million fans and basketball and American football tie for 9th place with 400 million fans each.

Broaden your horizons. Not a lot of people watch ridiculous American sports.

Why did the name soccer “football” in other parts of the world when that name is already taken by another sport?

Since the snark is taken care of and I can’t top it -
Throw ins are dependent on the county. I don’t know about the DC region but Baltimore county isn’t allowing them where the city is. It is shortsighted as the kids go and pick up the ball, run with the ball to the spot where they would throw it in, drop it, then kick. Not sure how that reduces any Covid transmission but whatever.

All statistics are lies and sport should not be a popularity contest. American Football is the world's best sport, even if it requires a higher IQ to appreciate than much of the wolrd's population is capable of!

No, it’s not hillbilly. But we accept your ignorance because you don’t know better.

Rugby is better than American football.

Football is king sport. Played anywhere and everywhere on the face of Earth.

You're correct but very late to the party. Mr. Webb Ellis had this idea almost 200 years ago.

Why would this rule change? It’s called football everywhere else for exactly this reason, it’s played with the “foot”. No hands allowed.
