I also have a question about this. I use the Flo app to chart my periods and have anywhere from 24-29 day cycles. I am day 13 in my cycle today. The app thinks I should be peak ovulation today. But I've tested every day since Sunday (using first morning pee) and have gotten the blank circle. Maybe I just ovulate late? Should we dtd just to be safe, or keep testing and wait til I get the flashing smiley?

This is my second time trying using these sticks. First time I never got the peak ovulation symbol, but we had sex every day for six days during the flashing smiley phase. (I was clueless and thought you had to do it every day, lol, but regardless, we conceived my son that first month of trying). Somehow I'm more confused this time around.

Long story short -- when should I have sex, and why am I not getting a smiley if I'm day 13? Thx.

Based on my understanding, it sounds like you timed it perfectly! If it gives you peace of mind you could go for it again today, but I think you've already maximized your odds.

I conceived my baby by only having sex once during the fertile window, on the first day of the solid smiley. She’s now 6 months old!

Dtd every other day on flashing smiley days (cd 11-14) and then on the first day of the solid smiley (cd 15). Cycles are usually a little over 30 days. Wasn’t able to dtd second day of smiley and now it’s gone. Worth trying again tonight? Am I in good shape?
