Our DD is the same way. The take apart toys are a huge hit here!

Take apart john deere tractor. We had one when ds was maybe 3-4 it was one of his favorite toys. We had the one that is just the front part of the tractor, he could push it around (wheels) and lift the hood, take apart the engine, take the wheels off etc. cannot recommend highly enough. Only rec is that mom and dad need to first learn how everything comes apart/goes back together....

My DS was similar and loved those take apart toys.

But he always wanted real stuff to play with, and it was sometimes a bit of a challenge. I would sit with him with a real screw driver and a little Melissa and Doug chair and let him screw and unscrew the bolts.

I actually started learning to do some DIY stuff at home just because he was so interested in any project I would do. I would let him "help" at whatever capacity he was able and he really loved it.

Friends just passed down their Little Tikes STEM lab (https://www.littletikes.com/stemjr/wonderlab) to us and our toddler DD, also a tinkerer, is completely fascinated by it. She'll literally play with it for hours.

We've also found Lidl's Playtive toy line pretty good. The problem is their inventory is really in-and-out so you have to watch the weekly ads or just get lucky, but they have all kinds of inexpensive wooden buildable toys and things like tool playsets. Those bolts are definitely small enough to be swallowed, so caution there.

Toddler loves all things mechanical: wheels, wires, buttons etc. Favorite toy is Daddy's turntable. Any recommendations? We have a busy board and the buckle toy and those were huge hits but over them now.
