Absolutely agree - there’s one for every occasion. And finding the frog in each picture is fun for kids.

Franklin the Turtle, especially Franklin in the Dark just now. it's series of books, I myself like it better than Berenstein Bears.

I loved Richard Scarry, Curious George, and Little Critter books.

My kids loved Sesame Street, Arthur, and Clifford books. DD really liked Alfie/Annie Rose books by Shirley Hughes.

These days most characters have book series.

Maybe the Maisie mouse books, or are those too young?

My son is pretty into curious george and paddington. My 4 year old daughter can't get enough of any Julia Donaldson book- paper dolls, gruffalo, room on the broom, monkey puzzle. And I love reading Julia Donaldson.

Have you read the Little Bear books? Sweeter than Bearnstein Bears books, but might not be as funny to a 3yo.

My nearly 3 year old loves the Bearenstain Bears books and could sit for hours listening to someone read them aloud. Are there any other book series similar to them that I can use to vary it up? I'm over the trials and tribulations of the Bear Family circa 1988. I think he likes that it's the same characters going through everyday life experiences so it's relatable.
