We skipped because our Ped is still only offering virtual visits, which are basically pointless.

We did in-person well visits this summer, one kid in July, the second in August. In the past these well visits have highlighted a potential issue with each kid, that we followed up with specialists, so I'm a big believer in not skipping. If you're comfortable with it, OP. All of our doctors (and dentist) are taking many precautions and I felt completely safe. Probably more so than in a normal flu season!

Yes. I still need the VA health screen for sports and camps.

I did one virtual well visit with my 3 year old, but I really wanted to do my 9-year-old's in person, so we did. We needed to follow up about some issues and discuss a referral, and I just wanted to do all that in person. We have another one for the fall, and I think we'll opt for virtual for that one. For the in person visit, of course everyone was masked, and most also had face shields. Restrictions on seating in waiting room, etc. It felt as safe as it could be, given the circumstances.

We went in August and will go again next month. I was satisfied with their Covid protocols/precautions

No. We go only for pressing needs, and one of my children did have a pressing need. Well visits without vaccinations are useless.

I would go. Maybe ask about covid precautions. That's how they discovered my tween's scoliosis.

By this point, most doctor's offices have implemented good COVID protocols, so you should be fine. Overall, it's probably riskier to skip preventative screenings.

Our pediatrician is doing them entirely virtually so it seemed like a no brainer to check in for a quick checkup from our home.

Yes! Well visits are screenings for problems and issues. Do not miss them.

We don't have any scheduled vaccine this year except for the flu shot and was wondering if we should skip the well visit since we don't really have issues. The flu vaccine can be given in the parking lot. I'm wondering what other parents did or plan on doing if you only need flu shot for the kids this year?
