Agreed 100%. Too many parent coaches that think they know it all (and have money). Take their friends with them. So much club hoping in the area and it's easy. No area is as flooded with teams as Maryland - particularly the DMV and Baltimore areas....

Other big struggle is the lack of rec anymore in the area. Harder and harder to get an inexpensive way to play before club starts.

All the girls that stayed did not join until fall of 2018. From the team that played fully together in the Summer of 2018, not one player remains on Rebels. But I blame that 100% on the leadership. Hopefully the current 24 team will stay together and build on what they have and not have to rely on Haight.

The WAYs coaches that left Rebels don't have great reputations, Rebels coaches are fine.

They're not trying to fill a void, they had been to multiple clubs in the area and overstayed their welcome. But still wanted to be completely in charge. So, started their own club.

And this will last only as long as their daughters are playing, is that correct?

Not familiar with this club either. Appears these are younger teams geared towards those interested in playing at a rec level. As PP noted, if you look at what tournaments and who they play this will give you an idea of how they fit in with your DD personal lacrosse goals. Do like to see they review game film with their teams to assist with game IQ and individual development. Much easier to watch what you need to work on and have coaches put this in to actual practice and individual player instruction. Not enough girls clubs doing this in my opinion.

Oldest children of owners play for Hero's. They've bounced around different clubs.

They have 1 club team, a 26/27 team with their younger daughters. The older "club" team (24/25) is made up of girls that play for other clubs first - Hero's, Hoco - and will throw together a team if they don't have a tournament that weekend.... Pay attention to who they are beating, no one major.

They do have rec but only the one club team.

Never heard of them. Strange.

All clubs say this same thing. Just read the web sites.

This club almost seems too good to be true. The website talks about promoting girls through sport in a holistic manner. They actively promote playing multiple sports. They are also seemingly cheaper than other clubs, have a couple teams that will play NGLL and it seems that they also win?

Aside from being based in Rockville, there has got to be a catch and I’d really like to know what it is.
