I have been on the mini pill since 6 weeks postpartum. Should I look into getting on the regular pill? Or an IUD? I am worried because I read the mini pill doesn’t work as well once a baby isn’t breastfeeding around the clock. I have been on the mini pill before and it has always been effective but I have never been on it this long (7 months postpartum).
If you have issues taking it at the same time every day (which is no knock on you - I would have problems too!), I would definitely switch to a more reliable form of birth control. I got a Mirena IUD 10 weeks postpartum and love it.
Yup this. If you don't want to risk a pregnancy now you either a) make sure you take that pill at the same time every day or b) find an alternative form of birth control You're a mom now, time to be a grown up.

Op here - where are you keeping your pill that you set an alarm and it’s with you everywhere you are? Like in a purse or something? I don’t carry a purse and I switch diaper bags so much that I can’t remember where I put my wallet most of the time. The only thing I have with me 100% of the time is my phone. Other than that it’s a crap shoot. I wake up and go to bed different times each day.

Anonymous wrote:Op here - yes other problem is that I don’t take it the same time each day. I just take it when I go to bed, which varies day to day.
