I'll be curious to see whether this results in continued cancellations of fall showcases. While I can understand the logic behind conducting regular season schedules in GA and ECNL this fall, even while the majority of NCAA leagues are not operating, showcases are different. At a showcase, the risks rise pretty significantly just due to the volume of personal contacts both on the field, and off.

Notwithstanding any judgments on whether the risks are acceptable or not, it would seem inconsistent that the NCAA sees too much risk to their campuses from on and off campus recruiting activities, but youth leagues and families would continue to support them.

No recruiting until 2025. But at least we’re in this together!
