If the fill content is important to you, then $35 is cheaper than any of the other brands mentioned here even 50% off. We're going to be outdoors a lot more this winter, so if there's a year to spring for actual down, this would be it. I think $35 including shipping is a fair price for a heavy weight down coat in excellent condition. I would not pay that much for an older one showing wear, even if the quality is better (sigh, old HA is much better quality).

I think the ones PPs are mentioning for cheaper are the thinner down coats, like this one: https://www.costco.com/eddie-bauer-youth-reversible-down-jacket%2C-blue-ombredark-blue.product.100539897.html

We live in the mid Atlantic, not Minneapolis. It will be fine.

when you say " actual down" You mean " actual soft bird feathers that the birds were still using when they were cruelly plucked out"......I am fine with polyfill.

Costco has nice Eddie Bauer kids coats for 19.99 right now. Warm and comfy, cute colors.

Absolutely not. For that price you can get a really nice, functional coat new. I've seen North Face that low at Nordstrom Rack or Macy's; LL Bean and Lands End sometimes do 25-50% off one item; and I've purchased Hatley for less than that via Amazon/6 PM.

I'm not even going to touch people paying a premium for used pajamas. My kid loves HA pajamas but I've never paid more than $20/pair by waiting for sales and stocking up.

I also saw lots of HA sweats and dresses at TJ Maxx last year and expect this year will be similar.

People sell used pajamas for just under that price range, and sometimes over it.

?? Used pajamas for $35? That's insane. You can get them new for less than that.

I am the PP. That price is for the hard to find stuff like Snoopy or The Grinch. Most others are in the $20ish range.

Also, old Hanna Andersson is higher quality than new. You can't compare Carter's polyester to 100% Organic Cotton that will stay in great shape through three kids.

The average price on Ebay for a sold Hanna Andersson used coat is $20 plus 8.25 shipping.

It depends. If it was bought through ebay where you are guaranteed free returns if anything is not as described, possibly.

Which kind of HA winter coat?
Their retail price can be pretty high (upwards of $75)
I only buy from the outlet, where winter coats are usually on sale for $35- $50.
When I re-sell to friends, I usually price it at $15-$20, depending on condition and weight.

OP here. I was trying to see on HA side what their prices are for winter coats, but those are not available yet. I know that they typically have sale.

No. That seems unreasonably high for HA.

Versus a new Gap jacket for almost the same price?
