Grew up in an extremely religious, bigoted house. Refused to come out until I was 26 because I didn’t want to them to hate me. I should have just bit the bullet when I was 18 and been able to have a real young adult life.

I fooled around with another girl when I did a semester abroad in college. I broke up with my girlfriend at home, but now I realize that was probably dumb. She moved on and married someone else. I wish now that I’d stuck with her, but I messed up.
