You may want to live in a communist society where elected officials ignore the law but I don't. MD had set up protocols for easing restrictions but they ignore them to whatever degree they decide. I’m very curious about what teams got cited. NVTBL should have had its own independent monitors out there not teams self policing. Some tryouts this summer were not great at best. People will be smug until they get cited, and ruin it for others.

Our parents and players have done pretty well this summer. Now that the fall has started, we’ve been warned by LL they are also watching and will take away field privileges if they see violations. No word yet on which 7 teams received warnings or have been banned by NVTBL.

I see photos of baseball kids on top of each other all the time. All summer.

OP here. I received an email, from NVTBL saying that they issued warnings (and are monitoring specific teams) and/or have banned teams. The email implies that a team(s) has been banned, but they didn't come out and say. (I'm on the list, bc I'm responsible for supporting our teams compliance).

It makes sense that the violation would be parents. But if I were to guess, the ones that they are giving warnings about are kids not properly spaced in dugout, coaches not following spacing protocol when meeting with the teams. But there are many things to pay attention to, and I was just trying to determine where to focus.

It would also make sense, that if the county is the one concerned, they would be citing violations for parents not keeping distance from each other.

OP — Maybe without being too specific, could you give us a clue how you found out about this rumor I believe it, but want to track it down. I haven’t seen anything on the website.

Do we know how many teams?

I've heard that a big issues is distancing between parents. They must be 10 feet apart. The county is randomly driving by and checking.

I'm helping our baseball team to follow the COVID protocols.

And I understand that some teams in the Northern VA league were suspended for not following.

Do you know of any teams that were suspended? And if so, do you know what was the offending behavior? Just trying to get a sense as to whether they are being more strict about players and what they are doing. Or about how coaches are interacting with players (masks, distance, no-high-fives). Or other....
