Ah I didn’t know this. I am Asian. I liked that it is a Hebrew name but easy to pronounce across languages.


I agree it's a beautiful name. I hope others can reclaim it but I don't think it could be me.

For some reason, a novel i read a long time ago called Asa, As I Knew Him sprang to mind.

I know 3-4 boys named Asa (and no girls named Asa). Interestingly, they all have fairly significant developmental disabilities.

I love this name. Noah was my first choice but DH adamantly refuses. All the other Biblical -ah names are too evangelical these days for me. DS is Leo.

Concerns are pronunciation and that it is feminine. I know 2 boys given this name; 1 is a Jewish teenager, 1 a biracial 5 year old.

DCUM hive thoughts?
