The dog owner is oblivious about more than just her dog.

And OP, you missed the opportunity here. This little pandemic thing gave you a perfectly valid reason to tell friend and her dog to wait outside while you brought out whatever it was they were stopping by to get.

This is the owners fault for not giving the dog time to go outside before they came in your house. I have 2 dogs and they travel with us and have never done this. I would totally tell the owner. Personally I would have taken a picture and probably texted in a somewhat joking manner..... so she sees it but you don’t fall out with her over it.

It sounds like your friend is confusing rushing around with the dog with actually exercising and pottying the dog. Bad situation.

A friend of mine's dog peed on my carpet and jumped up on my furniture, I didn't like it. I didn't say anything as they've only brought their dog to my home only the once. If it were to happen again I'd mention it.

Her dog might have struggled with housetraining and doesn’t understand that other people’s homes are not an acceptable spot to go. My dog has this issue. It took me a solid year to housetrain her, and when she goes to a new environment like my parents house, she will sometimes have accidents. I always warn the hosts ahead of time that accidents might happen, and if they are at all uncomfortable, I don’t bring my dog to their house.

A strange dog will not necessarily understand your house is off limits like their house. Never allow other people’s dogs inside.

A friend just stopped by to pick something up and had her dog with her.

I thought her dog was just playing with one of my dog’s toys while we talked, but she’s so small and low to the ground that I didn’t realize that it was peeing! My friend said that never happens. I didn’t make a big fuss, pulled out the Nature’s Miracle, and blotted it up. It’s a seagrass rug and moisture sometimes leaves a stain on those, but what’s done is done.

She just left and I realized her dog also pooped in my basement TV room. Should I tell her?

Should I just say I don’t want the dog to come over in the future?
