Check the cable to your battery.

Probably a battery issue.

Remote battery. How long has it been since the battery was replaced. Could just be a coincidence with all of this happening at once.

If this is a lexus we had the same issue. Looked pretty ominous but it was just basically a check engine light which is usually cause by a faulty O2 sensor. In our case it was caused by a loose gas cap. $180 to reset the fault at the dealer. Yes car was safe to drive. If it's not lexus than google is your friend.

Yesterday, I had to open car door with key manually (Remote battery not working). When I started my car engine, car dashboard displays “awd malfunction 2wd mode enabled“ with a triangular shape exclamation mark. I ran back home to get manual because I got freaked out. A few minutes later, my remote battery works for me to open car door. And, the dashboard has no light or awd malfunction on. Everything seems normal, and I plug-in the scan, there is no code reading.

What could be the problem? Why does my remote battery not working the first time? Why there is a awd warning & then disappears? Now, there is no code reading, am I safe to drive my car? Is that dangerous to drive with awd malfunction?
