I didn’t and got pregnant again with a chemical pregnancy. Not sure if it’s related.

This. If you do get pregnant you just may have to go in for an extra dating sonogram early on.

So sorry OP. I just did Cytotec/mistoperol for a missed miscarriage Friday. Hugs to you.

I'm sorry OP. I'm in the exact same situation, except I'm miscarrying a blighted ovum for the second time.

After the prior miscarriage I did ovulation tests. When I saw that I ovulated "on time" as if the miscarriage was a period, we tried again the next month and got pregnant again. So, in effect I waited one cycle. The fact the second pregnancy was also a blighted ovum was, I think, unrelated to the timing. But my OB told me to wait three months to try a third time; she wants to run some tests in the meanwhile.

Good luck!

I’m so sorry. I think it’s fine to try again. My mom had a similar situation, and got pregnant with my brother before her next period.

Wait. And your dr should follow up with a blood test to make sure your hcg level is 0 ( or whatever number they consider 0, usually less than 5).

I've heard that as well.
I've also heard from top REs that the cliff of fertility isn't going to be huge from one month to another.
I'm sorry you are going through this. It sucks.

I’d wait until you have a natural menstrual cycle/period to try again. Would think your hormones would be screwed up if got pregnant right away without giving your body time to get back to baseline with ovulation/period first.

I wouldn’t wait in your shoes.

I'm so sorry. I hope everything goes ok. I went through the same thing earlier this year. I think they said one period but I actually ended up waiting longer.

Hi,

I just took Cytotec to start the miscarriage process for a baby that stopped developing at 7 weeks. If my sonogram next week shows that all tissue has passed, could I try again this month, or should I wait for at least one period? I am in my 40s, so sadly waiting is a luxury at this point. I am not near my OB at the moment, so I am seeing one I don't know or trust to help me through this experience; they said to wait.
