As long as I keep food coming 3x a day, my two still at home seem content. However, my older DD was like this in grades 9-11. She’d forget things at home, realize she needed some supply item, want a ride. It was endless. I’m grateful these younger ones are less demanding.

I have an little form thing my youngest did in Gr. 2 and on the part where it says "My mom always says" she wrote "God helps those who help themselves" Clearly I've been at this too long!!

Mine are 5th, 8th and 8th graders. I think i hear "MOM!" about 30 times a day.

Meanwhile my husband is working from the "Bubble that cannot be disturbed" in the attic from 7am to 7pm each day.

My husband has expertise in computers. I do not. Yet. every time they have a computer issue, they yell "mom."

If I am in the bathroom or if the door to my ‘office’ is closed they are not allowed to call out mom or in any way ask for my help unless someone if choking, bleeding profusely or the house is on fire. If they do they lose their iPads.

Needless to say, I have hit my breaking point.

I also refuse to tell people where things are or how they work unless they can adequately tell me the efforts they have already made to resolve the issue themselves.

I’m no ones maid.

Well, it's a 24/7 job so... I am sure you knew that.

LMAO. This is a good idea, sadly.

Right there with you. This is our second week of DL, and I completely understand.

Some things that I did - I bought another printer, so that they have one they can use that is separate from what I use for work. They need to make sure it is working and that they have paper.

I've told them that they need to plan what the need for the next day and if they need help, we will get things together the night before.

This weekend I will also be giving a tour of our house to all other family members to show them where everything they could possibly need is located. I might make then write it down.

Yup. Same here. I had a come to Jesus talk with mine. I said, “please stop asking me for so much. If it’s something you can do on your own, DO IT. Stop asking for permission. Stop asking me to do things for you.” Love them, but...

Set times that they can come to you with questions. Maybe once in the AM and once in the PM.

I am at the point in the week when I cringe and internally scream when one of my 3 kids says "mom" because they need something or can't find something or have a question or whatever. They are all doing remote school (middle and high school) and pretty self-sufficient but even still. Agggh. I cannot concentrate on work at all because I am so on guard for them to interrupt.
