+1

Yup. Woman has rich parents, so the husband kisses the wife's butt.

I’m very demanding. I always got what I wanted in relationships before my husband, and do now too.

A guy who wasn’t cool with that never would have dated me or would have broken it off. Actually one of the guys I dated but broke up with quickly, we broke up because he didn’t like how demanding and high-expectations I am. He is a chronic cheater now.

But IME a lot of men actually want a demanding woman.

I'd like to hear what happens if you tell her that!

Because we are excellent judges of character, we know our worth and we won't settle for less.

I don’t know if I am demanding, but I had a bad first marriage where I was both naive and in a very vulnerable position emotionally and financially. As a result, when physical abuse I began I was not in a position to easily exit. I promised myself that I would never again be exploited or trapped. I’m remarried and DH is wonderful. Mostly because I was very discerning, but also because I’m not going to tolerate any BS. He wanted to get married and he knows that I will walk away if I feel unsafe in any way. We’ve been super happy because no one is messing around with gray areas of what is acceptable.

I actually laughed out loud at this one. Sounds like a tiny part of you has resisted complete subjugation.

Same, also been told I sound demanding and bitchy over there.

If my husband does not do something to my standards (normal adult standards), I tell him and vice versa.

The idea that those things are not frequently in the same person is ridiculous.

In my case, "easygoing and fun" was a cover for being a doormat. Hence, being cheated on.

They have standards and good self esteem.

Meanwhile, several mellow, fun, and easygoing women I know have been divorced, cheated on, and treated like crap.
Is this a Thing?
By demanding I don't mean bitchy so much as they rule the roost.
