Florida's had mail in voting for years, and counts on the day of the election - so hopefully, gd willing, Florida go for Biden and be called the day of the election, or the next day.

All the political podcasts I listen to - and there are so many, so many - are saying that it could take a couple of weeks to get the final results.

Why this matters: Way more Democrats will vote by mail than Republicans, due to fears of the coronavirus, and it will take days if not weeks to tally these. This means Trump, thanks to Republicans doing almost all of their voting in person, could hold big electoral college and popular vote leads on election night.”

The Dem data guys are massaging expectations.

And Trump will celebrate and claim victory. But only oann will call the contest at that point. Even fox won’t. But some of their personalities will.

If FL is called on the night of the election for Biden, there's about a 98% chance he'll win the election decisively.

If FL goes for Trump or isn't called on election night, we could be in for a long run.

We very often hear who has won states from the media before all the results are in. I'm not saying this will happen in enough states this time, and if Biden is declared the winner in this fashion we know damn sure that Trump won't concede.

The EC votes on Dec 14. This is set in stone. It's very possible we won't know until just before they vote.

I'm guessing three days before we have the results, but that if Trump loses, he will file lawsuits to try to block those results. There are going to be a lot of mail-in ballots, and election commissions will want to double and triple those numbers before releasing them to make sure they're correct.

I'm betting we won't know with confidence for a few years. Of course it will be called well before that.

What do you base this on?

I think we will "know" that night or early the next day. Trump and Barr will drag the challenges until Dec 14, and it will be like 2000 all over again.

That night? Days? Weeks?

Longer if lawsuits?
