I need to be out of the house all day and busy to do it. Right now I am at home and no chance I am not goin to eat all day.

Once my body adjusted to it, I wasn't hungry at all and since you can eat what you want, it is quite enjoyable.

This summer I was so careful with what I ate (1200 cal) and added 2 miles to my daily walk and only lost 8 lbs in 6 weeks. Omad gave me great results!

But 8 pounds in 6 weeks is very good. You really shouldn’t lose more than 1% of your body weight on a week.

OP here. Everyone who wants to join, pick a nickname. For the person who wants a coffee with almond milk, go for it-- I'm not the IF police! I'm happy to have company-- everyone can tweak this to create their own version. I'm thinking I'll probably do 21:3 and eat between 4 and 7. For me, it's just a tool to reduce my intake, one that I plan to do for a month because my attempts to calorie count this summer have failed.

I'm not concerned about "disordered eating". IF is a well-accepted weight loss tool.

I have gained weight these past six months. The one time I did OMAD, I lost a lot of weight and, once I got used to it, I wasn't hungry.

I hate counting calories so I just simplified it: every other day, OMAD was a regular meal but no dessert. On the other day, my OMAD was more like a fast- I just had low-cal veggie soup.

So you only ate one meal every two days?

Doesn’t anyone on this board see how disordered this is? Or how it’s leading to disorder?

Yes I love that there is no calorie counting or food logging with omad. It is just really hard to do when you are home all day!

21:46 here

I drank coffee and tea despite my fast. I just drastically cut back on milk. (Went from 1-2 lattes a day to just a splash of milk in my coffee.)

I will think about it and get back to you. It took me about a month to adjust to eating 11 to 7, without feeling weak and dizzy in the morning. My work day starts at 7, so it was tough. Even with coffee, milk and sugar before 11am.

Maybe! Can I do one coffee with almond milk or will that impact results/break the fast?

OP here. 2MAD doesn't work for me unless I still watch my calories, and I'm not great about doing that. I don't think OMAD is sustainable long term, and I do appreciate the importance of only making changes that *are* sustainable, but I'm hoping one month of great results with OMAD will motivate me to keep on going.

I am also home with kids all day, which is why I think it might be easier to avoid eating instead of calorie counting while managing them. Happy to have some company on this journey!

One Meal a Day. It is basically IF (intermittent fasting) with a much shorter window.

You eat one meal (usually dinner) and eat until you are full. Obviously the goal is to also eat mostly healthy foods so you get all your nutrient needs met.

I need to kickstart some weight loss after some failed attempts this summer. I'm planning on doing 22:2 for the month of September. Anyone want to join? I'd love some moral support!
