Unmedicated, not unmediated

An unmediated IUI isn’t crazy expensive ($700?) and there’s no blood draws if I remember correctly - you just pee on ovulation sticks at home and call to come in. You will still need to have sex too but you might increase your chances. How long have you been trying? It might be worth it.

We did this for different but related reasons. Successful, but twins, so there's that.

Currently pregnant after my second IUI. I would say if you've gone through all the testing with an RE and he/she recommends it, it's worth a try. It wouldn't be worth it if you're just tired of having sex. The amount of appointments for monitoring was incredibly stressful for me. It was probably about 7-8 per cycle--all but one was a blood draw, and most had transvaginal ultrasounds. This was after an HSG, two ultrasounds, lots of bloodwork, and two semen analyses for my husband--it took us three months before we were even ready to start. It's definitely not the easy way out.

My second child (secondary infertility) was conceived the first month of trying with Clomid and IUI. Very successful combination.

It's a very low amount to be tired of.

Who is your childcare? Does he or she live with you and never leave your house? If not, you have that exposure. Plus, you have exposure by going to the doctor and hospital. Why not just keep having sex, but more frequently. You are only 34 and you have had one baby already.

I did 3 IUIs and got pregnant with all 3 are ages 31 32 and 34

You are only 34. I would just keep trying the old fashioned way for now, especially since being pregnant during covid is less than ideal.

IUI didn’t work for me

Are you timing it right? Are you ovulating? Has husbands
Sperm been tested?

DH and I have unexplained secondary infertility. I am 34. We usually had sex 4-5 times a month, and amping it up is taking a toll on us. Should we do IUI? I’m worried about the supposed damage to my cervix? This would be our second and last child.
