Sometimes people need groceries and can’t afford to pay for childcare or delivery fees. Are you stupid or something?

I don’t usually have both (mine usually stay in the car on their phones) just one, but they wear masks when they do. I’ve not noticed this to be a big issue. I’d rather see that than the couples shopping together.

Pp, i’m with you. If you’re a single parent or just can’t swing it otherwise, keep the kids at home.

I had a chance to hit Trader Joe's last week after a nearby lunch, so I took my daughter. I told her to stick close to me and stay out of the way of other shoppers. First time she has been in a grocery store since at least March.

Getting kids back to school has nothing to do with our behavior. Our case numbers here are very low. Taking your kid to the store does not matter as long as you both wear masks.


Umm what? Are you one of those “I’ll wear a mask over my dead body” people? Yes, it matters.


DP here. No, at this point I don’t believe it has anything to do with the numbers. I am not a Trump supporter and always wear a mask in public.

Kids want to get back to normal, the carrot of school in the fall is gone, so we’ll wear masks, but we’re done really caring

I take my kids to the store all the time - 12 months and 5 years old. The 5 year old wears a mask. It’s no big deal. If anything kids should be at the grocery store and the elderly should stay home!

Yep. I have a friend who mentions going to Target with her kids for stupid reasons. It's stupid. Yes, single mom of young child who can't avoid is one thing - though frankly in most places you can get curbside or delivery so why go in if so? But if there is a teenage sibling or other parent at home, dont take your kids to the store.

I go to Food Lion and there are always kids in there with their parents. The toddlers I see rarely have masks on so just something to think about if you're going to start bringing your kids.

I know under 2 kids aren't required to wear them.

I started taking them again, occasionally. They wear a mask and keep their distance. We also started going to playgrounds again, aiming at off hours. It's good to get out of the house and I think the risks are very minimal right now. We don't do playdates and we don't socialize with others though (no family around, so that makes it easier).
