He doesn’t care and neither will 95% of your guests. Everyone just wants to eat, drink free booze, and mingle/party and doesn’t give a $hit about your dress, your flowers, your colors, your table arrangements, etc.

Dh and I have been married for almost 8 years. Our aesthetic and tastes are similar so that helped.

Here is what he was most concerned about (not in order)

1. Venue
2. Music
3. Men's attire
4. Food/alcohol

Things he was pretty involved in but let me take the lead:
1. Colors for decorations (linens, etc)
2. Favors
3. Overall "theme"
4. Photographer

Things he did not care about at all

1. My attire/bridemaids attire
2. Flowers
3. Save the Dates/Invitations
4. Layout of small things (gift table, cake table, etc)

Color schemes are stupid. Dial it way back.

My now-husband planned more of the wedding than me in the sense that the venue coordinator mostly planned it, and he managed the relationship with the venue.

I don't think he cares. Go with what you would like. I would say go with a forest or emerald green or maybe a wine, chianti, or quartz color. I think any of those would be nice.

As I previously said, we don’t care. It’s your day. Pick out what you like and be done...

My fiancé is pretty involved in helping plan. He’s found a hotel that will work for our guests, is doing that reservation, is handling the music cause he cares about that, had opinions on the date, ideas for venue (we’re getting married in his hometown), and has spoken with me to both the photographer and venue event coordinator.

Neither of us cares about colors (we won’t really have any...), but he came up with the theme idea, and we made the save the dates and invitations together.

He’s also handling what he and my son wear, while I’m responsible for my dress, and hair/makeup. We’re not having a wedding party, so neither of us is worried about what anyone else wears.

Keep your wedding relaxed. Enjoy it. Make it a party.

Not need to sweat the details.

He cares that you are happy, he doesn’t intrinsically care at all about the colors and flowers and all that.

It’s all a royal pain in the azz. Just pick out what you like and be done with it. We don’t give a rats azz. No one cares about the groom. All eyes, cameras and video are aimed on the bride. Also, guests don’t care about invitations. They get thrown away after the wedding. Don’t waste money on a large wedding dress, wedding and reception. Guests care for open bar so they can drink their face off on someone else’s dime. Save your money...

Absolutely normal. I’d be surprised if it was otherwise. My MIL on the other hand had a 100,000 opinions about everything....
