They said university personnel will not enter a dorm room or apartment for 3 days. So I guess you just sit in your current clothes? I just told DS to have his charger at all times so he would not lose to use of his phone.
So student attends an off campus party on Saturday. Health services learn on Thursday that multiple students at the party tested positive, and they attempt to do contact tracing Fri, Sat and Sun to find all students who could have been exposed.
On Sunday while your student is out for a run, she receives a phone call telling her she was possibly exposed and should quarantine. At that moment, she won't be allowed to go back to her dorm room, but must report to some specified quarantine location, and no one will go back to her dorm room for at least 3 days to pick up some stuff for her for the 14 day quarantine? No one is res life is willing to go back to her dorm and get some things from her (empty) room?
(And they are complaining about teachers not wanting to teach in a classroom full of children.)
