I am curious about this. I know Bethesda has that great 2027 girls team but the other grades don’t seem to play in any of the top brackets. Also, doesn’t it end in 8th?

Cavalier also has both and also not at a high level.

We wasted 3 years playing at Next Level. Our daughter had fun and liked her coaches but her playing level was pretty stagnant - no real player development. Switched clubs and it was night and day. Pretty low level coaching. If she wants to make her HS team go somewhere else. But the program does fill a gap for girls who want to play higher that Rec but aren't good enough to make HS teams at Capital or MC Elite. Lots of younger players from NL looking at other clubs this year - they did nothing during the shutdown and it really hurt them.

My daughter’s personal experience was the NL coaches were extremely nice and the staff was accommodating and friendly. I personally really liked them. So I feel terrible saying this, but the lacrosse just wasn’t good. I so wanted the program to work for her bc it was convenient for our family but it didn’t.

My daughter had to relearn skills when she switched clubs bc she wasn’t taught correctly. I should also add the focus on fitness was non existent so many of the girls had trouble keeping up with fast play of peer teams.

She was also frustrated with tournaments bc it never seemed like the teams were in a correct bracket so the girls were always unsure about the rules on checking. It made for a frustrating day.

It would be GREAT if NL could address these things - as I said the staff is nice and seems committed- bc the convenience can’t be beat.

Next level girls has been trying for years to grow their program with no success. The youngest teams are good but all the decent players with any drive leave for a better program before middle school. It is unfortunate for folks who live close in.

They just aren't in the right tournaments or brackets at same tournaments. So very hard to compare NL to Pride, Metro, MC Elite or Capital here in NoVA, and even harder to compare with the Baltimore metro clubs like M&D, Skywalkers, etc. At the end of the day it really depends on what your DD goals are. Hi, I’d like to start a new thread re NL, seeing as the other one seems to be focused on boys mainly.

Could people that are well-versed in the girls clubs around here talk a bit about the club? I hear about stars, pride and Capitol, but not much about NL.

There seem to be loads of girls at tryouts these weeks coming from MC elite and Bethesda. Is NL developing into a competitive club? Is this year dépendant? Will they be able to compete with pride and Capitol in the high school years?
