I do not look forward for press conferences tomorrow justifying decision. (If I were a star college football player, I would hope that my school/conference lets me go pro immediately.)
It is possible to play travel soccer without traveling out of the DMV. Travel soccer can work around counties in the DMV that wish to ban games.

No major decisions were made on Sunday night, but multiple sources in several Power 5 conferences have told ESPN the commissioners talked about trying to collaborate if their respective presidents do decide to cancel or postpone fall sports.

If the colleges shut it down, it will be hard to play anything in the fall.
I was a huge college sports fan for years, but am over it at this point and could care less if they got rid of all of them. If the NFL, NBA and others want a minor league, let them do a better version and stop corrupting colleges with this nonsense. Yes, they should be paid, and they should do whatever they want based on their view of risk, but there is no need for them to get scholarships from universities, and certainly no reason to have the bloatocracy of coaches and athletic departments at major university programs. It's gotten out of hand. This crisis has underscored the greed and egocentrism of everybody involved in college sports - whether the colleges, fans or athletes.
Geez. If you don’t give a crap about college sports, then why the hell are you here read & posting in this thread. What about the thread title that you don’t understand?
Well the forum is generally a youth soccer forum so the college sports discussion is what is actually a bit out of place. And trying to conflate the reaction of youth sports based on what the NCAA does will certainly draw in other readers than just college sport fans.

The bigger issue is the knock-on financial effect of no college football and possibly basketball, again. I wouldn't be surprised if next year's recruiting class for non-revenue sports (soccer, lacrosse, track, etc) are very light on scholarships.
Do you really think kids are not interested in playing sports and it is only being pushed by parents? College sports have a number of additional factors involved compared to youth sports. There have been baseball and lacrosse tournaments going on most of the summer. I am not sure why the anti-sports message gravitates to this forum.
