I have the exact opposite reaction to her. I feel so warmly toward her. She has good vibes and an authentic spirit.

I love her.

I don’t know about not being smart. She co-founded a production company in 1995. But yes, she comes off as a ditz in interviews.

Lisping can sometimes be genetically impossible to correct.

I find her annoying at times but I do admire her in some ways. Her mother had primary custody of her and basically let her young child party like an adult. The fact that she didn’t die young is pretty amazing. She got into rehab and has had a successful career from child actress into adulthood.

I can only think of a few people who did this successfully like Ron Howard and Jason Bateman. They both were raised by better parents.

I admit Drew has won me over. She is clearly a hell of a business woman. I enjoyed her book.

She runs a huge company, Flower Films. Have you read her book? She is bright.

I feel like this would make me crazy with anyone else but I find her strangely charming. DD has a lisp and I wonder if this is what she’ll sound like.

OP here. Had no idea. I find the show idiotic but can’t stop watching it. Too bad it’s cancelled. Only have a couple of episodes left.

Speaking of drew Barrymore , she's apparently going to become a talk show host . I guess the trend of actresses believing they can be Jills-of-all-trades is in full swing .

She's getting a new talk show, and there's a bit where she as an adult, interviews herself as a 7 yr old (it's clips from when she was on the Johnny Carson show).

I LOVE her on that show - I really loved that show, full stop. Still angry Netflix cancelled it without so much as a send-off movie to tie it up.

So I typically have zero interest in celebrities and wouldn’t normally post something like this. But I just have to say, every time I watch Santa Clarita Diet, I always think that Drew Barrymore is exactly like she was as a little girl in ET. I think most child actors wouldn’t even be recognizable as adults, especially not 40 years later.
