I don't mean this to be flippant, but personally, I would rather be fat and happy than thin and miserable.

Maybe the choice is not actually that stark--lots of PPs have suggestions for ways you might be able to have both--but if you have to choose, it seems like an obvious choice.

OP, I've recently started on Lexapro to address anxiety and panic. It's helping me. I've gotten to the point several times (while unmedicated) when panic became debilitating. I wouldn't wish anxiety upon anyone, so I can't encourage you to stop Lexapro.

So, maybe address your weight concerns with your GP. Have you had a full panel work up? Thyroid ok?

Have you tried noom? I am on anti seizure meds and put on 20lbs over the years. I had written off losing it and said, oh well, its my meds. I went on noom and the psychology of it really helped! I also upped my exercise a lot and the combination has been great.

I've gone on and off of antidepressants a few times over the years bc I wanted to lose the weight (I typically gain about 20lb on meds). Each time I was miserable with my anxiety back in full force and went back on. I also have PCOS and have never really been able to lose the baby weight from having my son two years ago. I'm working hard on it now with lots of exercise and good eating, but I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never be back to my thinnest self, even with habits that should usually lead to more weight loss. In your situation with PCOS it's also worth getting your thyroid checked (just by your regular doc or gyno) as a first step.

And go back to feeling miserable. It is a hard choice - being miserable because of anxiety and racing thoughts, or being miserable because I look ugly, bloated, fat and nothing fits me!

On top of all that, my face is wrecked with pimples on my chin, neck, jaw! I thought it was because of the mask, but now I am getting to the conclusion is because of the weight gain (20lbs) in the last year.

I was diagnosed borderline PCOS 10y ago while trying to get pregnant and put on merformin so it must be “back”..., I was so well for the past 6y or so before this set back.

I cannot seem to lose weight!

Please, help!
